Ghost, a recent retrospective of Peyton's printmaking practice, was exhibited at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, St. Louis, MO, and the Opelvillen, Rüsselsheim, Germany. Reading and Writing (2009) brought together some of Peyton's literary-infused works at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) in Dublin. Catalogues were published in conjunction with all of the above exhibitions. In 2005, Rizzoli published the monograph, Elizabeth Peyton. A new catalogue published by Rizzoli is forthcoming for Peyton's 2011 exhibition at Gagosian, Paris. "First Cut" a Group Show at M Herrington Gallery, Venice California

M. Herrington Gallery is a new contemporary fine art gallery located in Venice, California. It's first show is entitled "First Cut" featuring art from Mari Andrews, Britt Bass, Melissa Herrington, Cait O'Connor, and Michelle Weiner.
The word cut can take on different forms and meaning given its context.  Each of the artists contend with the verb; Carving, gathering, reducing, and intersecting their media to produce bodies of work.  The gallery as a whole asserts the noun form; Pronouncing its design and style, but most importantly, its fit within the broader spectrum of the Los Angeles art scene.

George Condo at Prism, West Hollywood, California

Acutely gifted in technique, Condo’s style often recalls Old Master painting, while his devotion to portraiture displays an enduring fascination with archetypes, character and psychology. Over three decades, Condo has painted hundreds of characters into being, working from his imagination to fuse the existing and the fictitious. His paintings are at once erotic, aberrant, humorous and absurd. Condo is celebrated for pushing his characters towards the beautiful and grotesque, finding the tension between attraction and repulsion, comedy and tragedy. George Condo is considered one of the most prolific and influential American artists working today. Over the last 30 years he has drawn upon the painting vocabularies of Velázquez, Tiepolo, Goya and Picasso, while developing a singular language of his own. His work has been exhibited extensively throughout his career in Europe and America and is held in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; The Broad Art Foundation, Los Angeles, Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, Ministère de la Culture, Paris and Museu d’Art Contemporani, Barcelona. In the last twelve months a major traveling survey of his work George Condo: Mental States has been presented at the New Museum, New York, the Hayward Gallery, London and Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt. This is the first solo exhibition of Condo's work at PRISM.
